REVIEW: DaVinci Thompson 4-in-1 Crib

Two days ago, my little Evie’s brand new Da Vinci crib arrived. Being a (relatively) frugal mother, I wanted to skip the bassinet stage and go right to a crib. I figured something she’d only be in a short time would be a waste of money. When I received one from my mother as a gift, I didn’t refuse it. Truly, the little bassinet that we have has been wonderful, as it has allowed her to see me through the little mesh panel on the side, thus calming her. She has been sleeping through the night most nights for a few weeks now…. that being said, it has come time to move on.

St. Patrick’s Day: 5 Kid Friendly Recipes


Some fun recipe ideas for St. Patrick’s Day.

Shamrock Shake


For the shake:

  • 2 cups of French Vanilla -or – White Chocolate Ice Cream
  • 1 cup of Milk
  • 1/4 tsp of Peppermint Extract
  • 1/4 tsp of Green Food Coloring
  • *optional: 1/2 to 1 oz of Whiskey

Other stuff:

  • 2 Tbsp Hot Fudge -or- Chocolate Syrup
  • Whipped Cream
  • Chocolate Chips -or- Sprinkles

Blend up the ice cream, milk, peppermint extract, and food coloring. Swirl a tbsp of fudge in the bottom of the glass. Top with whipped cream, fudge, and sprinkles and enjoy! You can just do mint ice cream and milk, but this way gives a stronger flavor. Whiskey can be added for a grown-up version of this beverage. 😉

Pot o’ Gold Krispies


  • 3 Tbsp of Butter
  • 1- 10 oz package of Marshmallows
  • 6 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal
  • 1 cup of Peanut Butter
